Preschool Music

I teach music classes for children ages 1 - 5 at The Children's Center in Portland and at Seedlings to Sunflowers in Gorham. I draw my inspiration from the Music Together curriculum, the Feierabend First Steps in Music program, Classic Musical Theater, and World Music. Activities include pitch exploration, beat keeping, expressive movement to Classical music, rhythm instruments, song memorization, finger-plays, and opportunities for solo singing.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance from Boston University and have been teaching private voice and piano lessons for twelve years. My recent career expansion into the field of preschool music has allowed me to integrate my passion for early childhood development (as the mother of a four year old), my love for teaching, and my desire to continue growing as a musician. It's been such a joy that I wish to do more of it.
